The Life of Brian Joseph Pintenich

Brian Joseph Pintenich, 70, Lenexa, Kansas passed away December 16, 2016. Visitation will be 6-8:00pm Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church, 11485 S. Ridgeview Road, Olathe. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at 1:00pm at Olathe Memorial Cemetery led from the church by the Patriot Guard. Brian was born November 12, 1946 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to Stephen Pintenich and Helen (Herczeg) Pintenich. Brian graduated from Piscataway High School in 1964 where he was in the ROTC and then joined the reserves. He was one of the first people through the New Jersey Paramedic Program and helped write some of their protocols. Brian was a volunteer firefighter for River Road Fire Company for 20 years and worked for Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey for 9 years. It is there he met his future wife and soulmate, Harriet Ann, and they were married January 15, 1983. They both then completed Nursing School and then moved back to the Kansas City area in 1989 to be closer to Harriet’s aging parents. Brian worked at St. Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza. He was always willing to work to help others and was always putting in extra time. Brian loved woodworking and adored their cats. He was a volunteer for the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, CERT, MODRS, Medical Reserve CORP of Greater Kansas City. Brian was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Brian is survived by his wife, Harriet Ann, and a sister, Judith Ann Cook. If desired, memorial contributions in memory of Brian may be given to the American Red Cross.
