The Life of MARSHALL HENRY WUNDER

Marshall Henry Wunder, age 78, passed away on December 9, 2016 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. He was born on July 8, 1938 to John and Naomi Wunder in Adel, Iowa.

Marshall graduated from Des Moines Tech in 1956. Marshall proudly served his country in the Air National Guard, he was a 132nd Tactical Fighter Wing in Des Moines for over 23 years. He was also a recruiter for the Air Force. Later, Marshall worked for State Farm as a property claims trainer for 25+ years. He was a Shriner and a member of Za-Ga-Zig Lodge in Altoona. Marshall will be remembered for being a great husband, father, and grandpa.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Joann Keiran; children, Robyn (Tim) Young, Kimberly Williams, Steven (Mary) Keiran, and Craig (Judeen) Keiran; 7 grandchildren, Chad, Jennifer, Nicole, John, Ashlee, Mila, and Caleb; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Nadine Wunder; step-brothers, Barry (Diane) Bennett and Ben Bennett; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

Marshall was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clell Wunder, Johnny Wunder; and great-grandson, Xander Lossner.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2016, with funeral service following at 12:00 p.m., at Staves United Methodist Church, 2747 E. Madison Ave., Des Moines. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Shriners Hospital in memory of Marshall.
