The Life of ROBERTA LUCILLE HOOVER

Roberta L. Hoover, age 82, of Council Bluffs, passed away September 9, 2016, at Risen Son Christian Village.

She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on August 15, 1934. Roberta was a wonderful mother, grandmother, pastor’s wife and friend to all.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, Simmie J. and Lucille (Doke) Hilliard; daughter, Julene Hoover; daughter-in-law, Anne Hoover.

Roberta is survived by her husband of 61 years, Rev. Ian Hoover; children, Michael Hoover, Jeffrey Hoover (Melinda), Gary Hoover, Jennifer Wildasin (Jay Gunther); grandchildren and great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service is 2 p.m., on Tuesday, at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Visitation will be during the hour prior to the service. A reception will follow in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Interment will be on Wednesday in the Highland Memorial Gardens in Des Moines. Memorials are suggested to Risen Son Christian Village resident assistance fund.
