The Life of Eva Plaskon Gnall

Eva Plaskon Gnall, age 89 of Shelton, beloved wife of the late George S. Gnall, died September 9, 2016 at the Shady Knoll Health Care Center. Born in Derby on November 11, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Zawidniak Plaskon. Mrs. Gnall was a longtime resident of Shelton and worked at Sikorsky Aircraft until retirement. She was an amazing homemaker, enjoyed yoga, gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by her devoted children, George J. Gnall of Terryville, Gail L. Briggs and her husband, Mark of MD, and Patricia A. Herwig and her husband, Gary of MD; sisters, Rose Soncarato of Shelton and Olga Draus of Derby; as well as a cherished grandson, Nicholas M. Briggs of MD and several nieces and nephews, including her Goddaughter, Kathy Gruttadauria of Derby. In addition to her husband of 57 years, Mrs. Gnall was predeceased by a brother, Andrew Plaskon; and sisters, Ann Walker, Mae Kuzia, Esther Gaidosz, and Lillian Walker. A Funeral Service, Meeting Directly At Church, will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 10:30 AM in Three Saints Orthodox Church, 26 Howard Ave., Ansonia. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Memorial contributions may be made to Three Saints Church Maintenance Fund or to Athena Hospice, 112 Washington Ave., North Haven, CT 06473.
