The Life of Jo Nell Davis
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at 10:00 AM at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery, for JoNell Bryant Davis, 76, who passed away on Monday, August 29, at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette.
Reverend Don Elbourne, Pastor of Lakeside Baptist Church in Mississippi, will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include her daughters, Rene Annette Davis Ball, and Sheila Friederich; her son, Keith Allen Davis and his wife, Frances; her grandchildren, Kristy Nicole, Kelly Maurice, Zachary David and wife, Emily, Kasey Lee, Kourtnie L., Joshua Isaiah, and Paul Davis; and her sisters, Mozelle, Jean, and Bertha Mae.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Maurice Davis and her parents, Bertha Mae and Elijah Herold Bryant.
JoNell Davis was born on March 15, 1940 in Elberton, Georgia. She married W. Maurice Davis in January of 1960 in Atlanta, Georgia. JoNell and Maurice had three children together and lived on the East Coast. They moved to Louisiana in 1974, where they spent the rest of their lives. JoNell loved to dance, golf, play bridge and enjoy life. She was always the life of the party. Her gullible nature and courage always got her into trouble but created memories that will last forever in the hearts of those who knew her. JoNell''s sense of humor and unconditional love will be dearly missed.
