The Life of WILLIAM JAMES BOLICH SR.

William James Bolich was born January 7, 1932 to Arlie and Ethel Bolich in Milwaukee, WI.  At age 4 the family moved to Des Moines, Iowa where he resided until 1947 when the family moved to Austin, TX. 

Jim attended high school in Austin where he met his wife, Edna.  He and Edna were married in 1950.  Jim enlisted in the United States Marines in 1950 where he served until 1962 and fought in the Korean War where he earned a purple heart. 

Jim was preceded in death by Edna, his wife of 55 years; his parents; and his brother, Arlie K.

He is survived by this wife, Nancy; five children:  Debra, Sandra, William J. Jr., Gregg and Arlie; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Jim was a contractor and real estate developer in the San Diego, Bakersfield area in California, building over 5,000 homes.

Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home in Austin, TX cared for the family upon Jim''s death and the body was interred in Fitzhugh Cemetery in Texas.  A memorial is placed at Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines, IA, next to his parents and brother.
