The Life of KONG SYSENGLATH
Kong Sysenglath, 71, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2016. He was born on June 3, 1945 to Souy and Bounlan Namvong in Kenthao, Laos.
Kong enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and gardening. He will be forever remembered for his big heart and will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is survived by his wife, My Sysenglath; children, Chanly Senthavy, Sisouda (Mok) Sysenglath, and Thongkhao Sysenglath; granddaughters, Katie and Cateleya; great-grandsons, Jayden and Leo; his sister and his father.
Kong was preceded in death by his mother and his three brothers.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, June 10, 2016 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. A second visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 11th also at the same funeral home. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 12th at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. Cremation will follow the ceremony and burial of cremated remains will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 13th at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Kong.
