The Life of Mrs. Betty Ann Badeaux
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Martin & Castille''s La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette for Betty Moore Badeaux, age 73, who died suddenly on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Entombment will be in Holy Mary Mother of God Mausoleum in Lafayette.
Reverend William Schambough, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include her daughter Renee Danette Vallot and her husband Chad; two sons, Ryan Lawrence Badeaux and Ricky James Badeaux and his wife Brandi; five grandchildren, Chase Vallot, Averi Badeaux, Addisyn Badeaux, True Badeaux and Carley Vallot; her companion Paul Richter; and her sister in law, Barbara McCloy and her husband Dan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Daniel Badeaux; her parents, Lawrence Moore and the former Inez Hebert, both natives of Abbeville.
Mrs. Badeaux was born on November 4, 1942 in Abbeville, LA and was a resident of Lafayette for most of her life. She worked as an Administrative Assistant and had a very strong work ethic, which she passed on to her children. Mrs. Badeaux enjoyed family gatherings and watching her grandchildren''s talents. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, weekend camping trips and loved her dog Zoe. She spent many hours of adoration and prayer time in the Chapel at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Badeaux, Ricky Badeaux, Chase Vallot, Dan McCloy, Shawn McCloy and Kerry McCloy.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s SOUTHSIDE location on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed Sunday at 6:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
