The Life of ALAN EDWARD WHITE
Alan Edward White, 62, of Altoona, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, May 6, 2016. Alan was born on May 18, 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa to Beatrice (Harker) and Edward White.
Alan graduated from Tech High School. He retired as Project Manager for Pioneer Hybrid after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed golfing and watching NASCAR. Alan was a long-time member of the Elks in Pleasant Hill and of the Hillcrest Country Club in Adel.
Those left to cherish his loving memory are his loving wife of 17 years, Pat; step-daughter, Tammy Heckart and grandson, Conner Heckart; and his furry companion, Daisy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Brian.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 121 NW 60th Ave. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. He will be laid to rest following the service at Highland Memory Garden Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to Altoona Fire and Rescue in memory of Alan.
