The Life of Peter J. Benfanti
Peter J. Benfanti, 59, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on April 19, 2016. He was the husband of Lisa "Leeanne" Hooker Benfanti. Peter was born in Bridgeport on December 8, 1956, son of the late Peter Benfanti and Elizabeth Mayne Benfanti Ulmgren. A resident of Ansonia for twenty five years, he was previously employed as a field technician supervisor at Drinx Unlimited in Norwalk. Peter had the ability to fix almost anything, enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and above all loved spending time with his daughter. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a loving daughter, Alexa Grace Benfanti of Ansonia, mother in law, Dolores Hooker, brother in law, Jimmy Hooker (Rita), sister in law, Diana Branch (Joe) all of Ansonia, sisters, Jillian Benfanti and Janet Nicholas (Timothy) of NC, uncle, John Mayne (Hillary) of England, niece, Sarah, cousin, Lorraine Benfanti of NC, several cousins in England and canine buddy "Weenie". Visiting hours will be held on Monday April 25, 2016, from 47 PM in the chapel of the SPINELLIRICCIUTI/BEDNAROSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 4:30 PM a funeral service in celebration of Peter's life will take place with Rev. James Sullivan officiating. Interment will be private in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the future education fund for Alexa Grace Benfanti, made payable to Lisa Benfanti and mailed to the funeral home.
