Vicky is survived by her husband, Nick, of 36 years; her son, Doug (Kim); daughters, Jennifer (Brian), Debbie, Teresa, Pat, Pam, Nikki (Reuben); her wonderful grandchildren, Ashley, John David, Jacob, Jeremy, Drake, Nicholas, Catie, McKane, Kaylor, Lexi, Harris, Evan, and Owen; as well as her great-grandchildren, Emma and Tyler. She was the daughter of Frank and Nancy Sammons and the sister of Peggy (Robert) Miller and Darrin (Barb) Sammons.

Vicky spent her life giving to others. She had a very strong Christian faith and loved her daily devotional reading and sharing with others. She loved her family, her flower garden, neighbors, and the community. She made wonderful memories playing games with her grandchildren and coloring was a special pastime.

Her long-time battle with cancer and her final fight against multiple myeloma brought her ultimately closer to God than ever before and made her heart whole again. She will be missed every single day.

Donations can be made to the Autism Society of Iowa and Multiple Myeloma Program at the University of Iowa Hospitals.
