The Life of NORMA RUTH SNYDER
Norma Ruth Snyder, 92, died April 13, 2016, in the comfort of her home under the care of her family and longtime family friend, Everett Schaefer. She was born May 17, 1923, to Henry J. and Annetta Babbitt in Bourne, TX.
She was a very faithful member of Gospel of Peace Assembly of Evansville, IN. She taught tax preparation courses for H&R Block, held various positions in accounting and insurance firms, but first and foremost she was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed (2009), and outlived her 11 siblings – 6 brothers and 5 sisters. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Kounthong) and Rodney (Mary); as well as her grandchildren, Heather, Merissa, Trevor and Zachary.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with visitation beginning one hour prior to service time.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Norma.
