The Life of NANCY LYNN CANNON
Nancy Lynn Cannon, 60, was born January 22, 1956 in Des Moines, Iowa to Marvin and Carol (Buhrer) Brown. She passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
Services will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 28th, with funeral service to begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 29th. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Nancy was a generous, giving person who loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She had a place in her heart for all animals and had a wide variety as pets.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 36 years, Gary; sons, Matt Cannon and Cody (Britney) Cannon; granddaughters, Keelie, Chloe, and Mya; mother, Carol Dolph; siblings, Karen (Mike) McNaney, Rod (Tracy) Dolph, Linda Brown, and Becky McIntosh; numerous nieces and nephews; aunt, Wanda Campbell; mother-in-law, Virginia Crouse; Nancy’s “other kids,” Uno, Millie, and Sonny; as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Brown; grandparents, Tom and Dorothy Brown and Mary Buhrer; and her uncle, Jack Campbell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Animal Rescue League in Nancy’s honor.
