The Life of EUGENE BRYCE CAMPBELL
Eugene Campbell, 96, passed away on February 18, 2016, at Methodist West Hospital in West Des Moines, Iowa. He was born September 7, 1919, to James and Eva Campbell.
Eugene served in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge. He enjoyed traveling the world and camping trips in an air stream travel trailer. Above all else, he cherished his family, especially his children and grandchildren, and their time spent together.
Eugene is survived by his loving wife of 76 years, Pauline; sons, Allen (Rita) Campbell and Ron (Kathy) Campbell; daughter-in-law, Pat Campbell; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Thorman Campbell; as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Bob Campbell; parents; brothers, Ivan, Clarence, and Spencer; sister, Alberta Miller; and granddaughter, Wendy Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be designated to a charity close to Eugene’s heart at a later time.
