The Life of Marie Yahnert
Marie Yahnert 89 of Warren, but spent most her life in Middlefield, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at Windsor House at Champion. She was born August 5, 1926 in Tioga, WV to the late George Raymond and Opal (Mollahan) McElwain. Marie enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, embroidery and baking for her family.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Harold (Celia) Yahnert of Warren, Deloris (Buddy) Moffit of Cortland, Cheryl (Ned) Palm of Tallmadge, grandchildren, Catherine (Don) Brooks, David (Sherry) Yahnert, Kyle (Janelle) Moffit, Lisa (Brad) Messenger, great grandchildren, Dawn Marie, Thomas Brooks, Diana, Darren Yahnert, Ruby, Rose Moffit, her sisters, Helen Heath, Doris Madsen, Connie Rein, sister-in-law’s, Thelma Harmotta and Linda McElwain. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Yahnert, son Richard L. Yahnert, brothers, Paul McElwain, James McElwain, and a sister Betty Lou Lowthain.
A Celebration of her life will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Russell-Sly Family Funeral Home, Middlefield, OH 44062. Calling hours will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM. Pastor Edwin Pollari will be officiating. Burial will follow at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.
