The Life of Jerrold Kaszeta

Jerrold P. “Jerry” Kaszeta, age 65, husband of Christine Cottrell Kaszeta and resident of Orange, entered into eternal rest January 2, 2016. He was born in New Haven June 28, 1950, son of Vincent Kaszeta of Cheshire and the late Iva Pierce Kaszeta. A graduate of Hamden High School, he received his bachelor’s degree from Quinnipiac University, and earned his master’s degree from UNH. He had a 36 year career at Sikorsky Aircraft until his retirement in 2012. As a young man, he was a volunteer firefighter at Westwoods Firehouse in Hamden. Those who knew him will remember him as an avid sports fan, sharing his wife’s passion for the Dallas Cowboys. In addition to his wife Christine and father Vincent, he leaves to cherish his memory his brother Donald Kaszeta of Clinton, 10 nieces & nephews, 15 grand nieces & nephews and 2 great grand nephews. The family would like to give thanks to the staff at the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Yale, his cardiologist Dr. Lisa Freed and many supportive family and dear friends. Family and friends will meet at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia on Wednesday January 6 at 8:45 a.m. The funeral will leave for a Mass of Christian Burial at The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia for 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
