SUICIDE NEAR OVERLAND PARK

Edward Ross took Poison in Barn Loft on Hauser Farm

The body of Edward Ross was found in the barn of Frank Hauser at the Merriam crossing near Overland Park yesterday, having been dead for several hours. Ross had worked on the Hauser farm during the summer but had quit about two weeks ago. He evidently returned to the barn Monday night. The body was brought to the Ryan undertaking rooms and an attempt is being made to find relatives. A note was found addressed to Chester Ross, care of Mrs. Luck, 713 Penn street, Kansas City, Mo., which read "Good bye, son, be a good boy and try to make a good man. Forgive your pa. Love to your ma and all,"  Inquiry at the address revealed the information that Mrs. Ross and her 11 year old son, Chester, had moved from there and their address was unknown. Ross was 58 years old.
