MRS. MARY E. PENNINGTON

 

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Pennington, wife of W. H. Pennington, died at her home on East Santa Fe street at nine o'clock a. m. Monday, April 3, 1916. at the age of seventy-five years, three months and twenty-three days.

 

Mrs. Pennington was born in County Clare, Ireland, November 10, 1840. After her marriage she came to the United States and lived some time in California. From there the family moved to a farm near Bucyrus and about thirteen years ago they came to Olathe to make their home.

 

She leaves besides her husband to mourn her loss, a daughter, Miss Allie Pennington. a son Jim in Los Angeles, California, and a daughter. Mrs. Mary Burk in Colorado, and a number of grandchildren scattered throughout the west, besides a large number of friends in Olathe and the Bucyrus neighborhood. The funeral services were conducted from the Catholic church at nine o'clock Thursday morning, April , 6th. Rev. Father Ording officiating, and burial was made in the Olathe cemetery.
