Gordon Robert Smith, 44, of Gardner, KS, passed away April 4, 2009 in Gardner. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, April 10, 2009 at the Church of the Harvest in Olathe, KS. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon before the service at the church. Burial will follow at the Olathe Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gordon Smith Memorial Fund. Gordon was born April 24, 1964 in Pottstown, PA to Gordon Robert Smith Sr. and Rose Marie Pallente Smith. He was a Sargent in the US Army. Gordon married Freda Talbot Reiss on September 23, 1988 in Elkton, Maryland. They moved to Gardner 12 years ago from Olathe. He enjoyed computer work and games, fishing, boating, car restoration, and motorcycling. Gordon enjoyed traveling to Table Rock Lake.

He is preceded in death by his mother. Gordon is survived by his wife Freda; father Gordon of Prump, NV; children Matthew Reiss and wife Melissa of Olathe, Erika Reiss of Lake Ozark, Mo, and Jennifer Butterwick and husband Eric of Columbia, Mo; siblings Rodney Smith of Limerick, PA, Randy Smith of Douglasville, PA, and Connie Choiniere of North Carolina.
