Thomas Smith Moore.
Thomas Smith Moore was born at Lebonen, Warren County, Ohio, Oct. 9, 1832. He departed this life at the family home on South Dudley street, Olathe, February 9, 1914. Age 81 years and 4 months
 
He was united in marriage with Jane Burr, August 9, 1854. To this union were born six children, of whom five and the mother survive: Samuel A. Moore of Olathe, Heroine Moore of Kansas City, E. B. Moore of Seneca, Mo.; Mrs. Inis Collier of Olathe Willie Moore of Rosedale, Kansas.
 
Father Moore was a veteran of the Civil i War. He served one year in the 29th Indiana and one year in the the 87th Indiana, lie came home from the war with health depleted so that he has been a great suffered, being almost blind for many year. In 1871 he moved to Washington County, Kansas, on a farm and his last fifteen years were spent in Olathe in such a state of health that he scarcely ever went out from home. He was a member of the Friends Church since 1879. He is gone but not forgotten. Funeral at the home at 2:30 Tuesday, conducted by Rev. C. B. Zook.
