Death of J. E. O'Roark.
 
The death of John Ellsworth O'Roark, occurred Thursday, December 12, at the Bell Memorial hospital, Rosedale, where he had gone for treatment. The funeral service was held Saturday at 2:30 at the home on West Elm, conducted by Rev. W. H. Scrivner, of the First Christian church, Olathe. Burial in the Olathe cemetery.
 
Mr. O'Roark was 48 years of age, having been born April 17, 1870, on the farm in the Twin Springs neighborhood, which his parents homesteaded in a very early day. John stayed on the farm until he was 18 then came to Olathe where he has lived practically all the time since.
 
March 1, 1893, he was married to Miss Chloe Elston, who survives, together with a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Stemple, Cantril, Iowa, another daughter, Mrs. Dick Roe, Olathe, and a son. John was industrious, capable, a hard worker, well liked by everyone for his many good qualities.
