John Michael Pelehach, 89, of Gardner, KS passed away May 16, 2015 at St. Luke’s Medical Center. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday, May 22nd, 2015 at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, KS 66030 (913) 856-7111. Private family burial at Olathe Memorial Cemetery. John was born Dec. 25, 1925 in Nanticoke, PA to Andrew and Josephine (Kluchefski) Pelehach. He served in the Army during WWII. He married Jennie Dziob on Nov. 20, 1948 in Newington, CT. John was a factory foreman for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in Southington, CT. He was an avid tennis player, loved traveling and his wife and family. John also enjoyed growing bonsai, orchids and dahlias.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Joseph Pelehach. John is survived by his wife Jennie; daughters Patricia Pelehach and her husband Volkan Otugen, Dallas, TX and Nancy Vuolo, Gardner, KS; one granddaughter Jennifer and her husband Terence Antoszewski; three great grandchildren Robbie, Rachel and Benjamin and brother Francis Pelehach, Huron, OH.
