The Life of Nancy Ann Morgan

Nancy A. Morgan, Overland Park, joined her son Michael in eternal life on Friday, June 15, 2012. She was born February 9, 1935 in Jefferson City, TN. A gracious lady, who believed firmly in the Lord Jesus Christ, she was joined in Holy Matrimony on March 21, 1953 at Langley AFB, Hampton, Virginia to Robert W. (Bob) Morgan and gave life to daughters Cheryl and Bobbie and sons, Mike and Doug. Traveling the world, wherever their Air Force assignments might take them, she excelled as a commander’s wife and partner while giving heartfelt love and guidance by Christian example to all who were so fortunate to know this remarkable woman.

Nancy's heart was so overflowing with love, she was friend to all. She was Mom or Nana to more than just her own progeny, Ouvieng Voravong and Veng Vollavahn joined the family in Bangkok, Thailand and the family later increased to include life partners and their children and grandchildren. These were Patty (Mike), Phil (Bobbie), Gerald (Doug), Jennifer (Ouvieng) and Liz (Veng) We who mourn our loss of her include 19 grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. We love you and already miss you, our beautiful person Nancy, our Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and, most of all, friend.

All who have had the good fortune to know her will miss her kind heart, gentle spirit, deep faith, and her laughter, smiles, and generous, loving ways. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Olathe, KS for over 30 years Visitation will be from 5-7 PM, Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 PM, Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at McGilley & Frye with burial following in Olathe Memorial Cemetery.
