The Life of James Ruthven Ferdinand Pilcher
Died.
At Olathe, Kansas, on Monday, Mar. 19th, 1888, at 6:30 a. m, of paralysis of the heart, James Ruthven Ferdinand Pilcher, aged 55 years, 7 months and 22 days. The funeral services were held at the family residence, on West Park street, on Tuesday at 2 o'clock p. m. and was conducted by Rev. A. L. Vail, assisted byRevs. R. P. Evans, A. W. Bishop and R. P. Stephenson.
Mr. Pilcher's death was very sudden and entirely unexpected by even his most intimate friends. On Sunday, the day before his death, he attended church as was his custom, and even at bed time was apparently in his usual health; the next morning he had passed away
Mr. Pilcher was an old and highly esteemed citizens of Olathe having come here from Ohio soon after the close of the war. A fuller obituary notice, with resolutions of respect from societies to which he belonged will appear in the next issue of the Mirror.
