The Life of Lloyd Williams

LLOYD WILLIAMS DEAD.

Lloyd Williams, only son of Andy Williams, the barber, died at the depot of the Santa Fe road in Newton, Kansas, on Tuesday evening. The cause of his death was consumption. Some four months ago Lloyd went to Phoenix, Arizona, in the hope of obtaining relief from the disease, but be grew rapidly worse instead of better and last week Andy left for Phoenix to bring him home, hoping to reach here with him before it was too late, but as Newton Lloyd was seized with a hemorrhage on tbe train and was removed from the train to the depot where every attention possible was given him, but it was too late and he died in a very short time.

His remains were brouht to Olathe Wednesday in charge of Duffy & Kean, and the funeral takes place today, the lodge of colored Masons, of which he was a member, taking charge of tbe ceremonies. Lloyd was very popular among all classes and was much respected for his sterling qualities The blow is a hard one to his father, who has seen his wife and all his children pass away one by one from this same disease. Andy has the sympathy of hsi friends and of all who knew him and his son.
