LEWIS UNVERSAW.

Another of the old settlers of Olathe has passed away from the busy scenes of earth life and gone to his reward. Louis Unversaw died at his residence on East Poplar street, Wednesday morning at 2:15, after an illness of little less than a week, having been taken ill on Friday last. He would have been 80 years old had he lived until next Wednesday, September 5.

He was born in Germany and came to Kentucky with his parents at an early age. He was married to Miss Margaret Shears and after his marriage removed to Indianapolis, Ind., from which place be came to Olathe, 35 years and has resided here ever since, 30 years of the time in the house on Poplar street where he passed away.

His wife preceded him to the other shore a few years ago and he is survived by nine children who reside: a son and daughter in Kentucky, a son in Rocky Ford, Colo., two daughters in Kansas City, and two sons and two daughters in Olathe.

Mr. Unversaw was a member of the Methodist church and was highly respected by his neighbors and friends for his true Christian character, and he was a kind, loving husband and father The funeral will take place Friday at 2 p. m., from the M. E. church and will be conducted by Rev. R. V. Maloney. The family will have the sympathy of the entire community in the loss thy have sustained.
