Dorothy Ann Parks, 72, of Olathe, KS., passed away Friday January 4, 2013 at Freedom Point Senior Living. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home. Burial in Olathe Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-2pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Dorothy was born on January 21, 1940 in Davenport, IA., to Frank C. and Stella Mae (Carstens) Jepsen. She married James Daly Parks on July 22, 1960. Together they moved to Olathe, KS., in 1972, where she raised her family. Dorothy had a passion for animals and frequently rescued pets from shelters.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Stella Jepsen and husband James Parks. Survivors include her two sons: Jon Charles (Andrew) Parks MD of Wichita, KS., and Jed Alden Parks of Cedarburg, WI. She also leaves behind her brother Marvin C. Jepsen DDS of West De Moines, IA, four grandsons: Derek Parks and Riley Parks of Wichita, KS., and Ethan Parks and Benjamin Parks of Cedarburg, WI. Condolences may be offered at www.mcgilley-frye.com.
