William Nelson, who was shot in the heed last January by L. M. McDonald at a colored dance, died Monday moning in a Kansas City hospital, where he had been taken for treatment about two weeks ago after an operation had been performed to remove the bullet from his head. The body was brought to Olathe Monday and a post mortem examination held, the result of which will not be made public until McDonald is put on trial for shooting Nelson, which; will be at the next term of the district court.
