The Life of Mary Elizabeth Thompson
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Tomphson, wife of R. T. Tomphson, for 33 years a teacher at the D. & D. Institution, died at the home on east Park street at 3:15 o'clock Wednesday morning. Mrs. Thompson had been an invalid for 12 years but her condition did not become serious until two days before her death. The deceased was in her 50th year. She was born in New York and educated in the New York school for the deaf. She came to Kansas 32 years ago and for 15 years was a teacher in the institution. She has two sisters, one in North Carolina the other in California and two brothers in Chicago. The funeral will be held Friday.
