Charles West Spaulding, 79 years old, died at 10 o'clock Friday, morning, December 25, at the home of his son, George R. Spaulding, 853 Barnett Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. A widow, and one son survive. Funeral services were held at the home at 11 o'clock Saturday morning after which the body was shipped to Olathe for burial.

Charles West Spaulding, 79 years old, and an old compositor on the Olathe Register, died early Friday morning at his home, 853 Barnett Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas. Mr. Spaulding was a thirty-third degree Mason and had been a member of the Masonic order more than fifty years. He was born in Rutland, Vt., and was a graduate of Dartmouth College. Mr. Spaulding was a civil engineer telegraph operator, versatile newspaper writer, and musician.; Deceased is survived by a widow and one son, George Spaulding of Kansas City, Kansas.
