Her Death Occurred July 5, 1911 His January 6, 1916. Their 50th Wedding Wedding Anniversary Was Celebrated in 1907.
DEATH OF LEWIS WOLFLEY.

 The death of Mr. Lewis Wolfley occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joe Barrall, 12 miles southeast of Olathe, Thursday, January 6, at 11:30 p. m. The funeral service was held at the First Methodist Church in Olathe, Saturday afternoon at one o''clock, Rev. D. A. McCullough of Spring Hill and Rev. Robbins, officiating. Both the Masonic Order, of which he had long been a member, and the G. A. R.s. attended the funeral service in a body, the Masons having charge of  the services at the cemetery.

Mr. Wolfley was the son of George and Nancy Perry Wolfley, was born in Radinor Township, Deleware County, O., September ,17, 1833, at the time of his death being 82 years, three months and 20 days of age. He was united in marriage to Lucretia Harmon, January 1st, 1S65 and to this union one daughter, daughter, Mrs. Ella Barrall, who survives him was born. His wife died July 5, 1911. A sister,  Mrs. Margaret E. Dildine, of Prospect. O., and two brothers, E. Wolfley of Edgerton, and George Wolfley of Radinor, survive.

 Two weeks ago he went to Edgerton to visit his brother and, sister, who had come from Ohio to be together on Christmas, when he was taken ill and was removed to his daughter''s  home, his .death ; being caused by blood poisonlng.

Mr. Wolfley had friends by the score and a good word for everyone. It is safe to say that he never had a enemy in his life. Possessed of a sunny disposition, he had the happy faculty of making friends and keeping them.

He was agent for the Standard Oil Company for 32 years and was on of the first in Kansas. In 1908 following a stroke of paralysis, he retired on a pension, which wsas paid monthly up to the time of his death. He was the first [person in the West to receive John D. Rockefeller’s personal check for $50.00 at this golden wedding in 1907.

Mr. Wolfley was an invalid for almost eight years.
