Obituary.
Lucius Wilcox, aged 56 years, died at his residence on South Kansas Avenue on Monday at 4:30 p. m., of malarial fever. The funeral which was largely attended by old neighbors and friends of the deceased and the family, took place at 2 o'clock p. m., Tuesday from the family residence, Rev. A. W. Bishop, of the Congregational church, conducting the services in an impressive manner.
Mr. Wilcox had been ill for several weeks but it was not until the last few days that he was thought to be in a dangerous condition. He leaves a wife, two sons and a daughter to carry on life's unequal struggle, without a husband's tender care and assistance.
The remains were deposited in the Olathe cemetery at the close of the services at the house, being followed to their last resting place by a large number of people.
The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement.
