Died, May 9, 1896, Mrs.  SyIvia Queen, aged ninety-two years and eight months. Mrs. Queen has been a resident of Olathe for the past fifteen years and has been an invalid for a number of years, requiring the constant care of an attendant at all times. She was possessed of some abilty as a poet and many of her friends have her writings as mementos of her abili ty. She was an ardent Christian and gave liberally to the church. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. R. H. Fife, pastor of the Christian church, Sunday at 4 o'clock p. m.
