The Life of Anna Marie Parker

Mrs. J. W. Parker

Anna M. Parker, daughter of Guillum and Elspeth Hopper, was born in 1854, in Grand Blanc, Mich. And passed away at her home, 486 Kansas City road, Sunday morning, June 9, 1935.

The funeral of Mrs. J. W. Parker was held from the home Tuesday at 2:00 o’clock. Friends filled every nook and corner of the home. The professional friends of former J. W. Parker were there in numbers.

The service was conducted by Reverend C. H. Husband who spoke briefly, and took as his text the short passage “Eternal God is my resting place and underneath in his everlasting arms.” The service was simple and in keeping with the life that Mrs. Parker lived during her lifetime in Olathe. Dr. Husband quoted several verses from Whittier and Longfellow which bespoke of the passing on from this life to eternal bliss.

Mrs. Bert Gilbert sang two solos.

There was an unusual number of cars carrying friends of the family and deceased to her last resting place in the Olathe cemetery.

The room in which the body lay was filled with flowers.
