The funeral services of John A. Lane were held at the residence of his son Lou L Lane on Park street last Friday and were conducted by Rev. Buckner, pastor of the M. E. church. Mr. Lane died on Thursday morning at 6 a. m. after a lingering illness. He was sixty-seven years of age. He was born in Ohio and came to this county in 1868. In 1879 he removed to Graham county, Kansas. Last fall he sold his farm in Graham county, intending to purchase a home here. He had been a consistent member of the M. E. church for the past twenty-eight years.
