The Life of Edward Lane
Died, at his home one mile west of Olathe, on April 2, 1897, of diabetes, Edward Lane, aged forty two years. Mr. Lane was born in Franklin county, Ohio, November 21, 1855, and moved to Johnson county in 1868, where he resided until his death.
He had been a sufferer for the past year but was al ways cheerful and never gave up, but expressed a hope that he would soon be able to resume his work. He leaves a wife and four children; two boys and two girls, to mourn his loss. The family has the sympathy of a host of friends in their sad bereavement. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev M. E. Goddard of the M. E. church Sunday and his remains were interred I in the Olathe cemetery.
