DIED - In this city. Friday Oct. 29th, 1880, Amy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Julien, aged 7 years, 1 month and 6 days.

The rod of affliction has fallen with great severity upon Sheriff and Mrs. Julien by the death of their little daughter Amy, which occurred on Friday last, October 29th. She was a child of sweet disposition and although taken off at the early age of seven years, one month and six days; she conversed on subjects and ina a manner that could hardly been expected of those several years her senior. Over one year she had an attack of scarlet fever from which she never fully recovered, and her suffering during thai long period was terrible, several months ago young as she was. she realized her approaching fate and spoke of it to her parents, but through all her affliction exhibited a degree of patience and fortitude seldom ever seen by a child. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Dr. Williamson and her mortal remains were carried with tender hands to the silent city of the dead, followed by a large procession of friends of the family.
