Death of H. G. Hower,

It was with, deep sorrow that Olathe friends received the sad news of the death of Harry Hower. His wife was with him, having been summoned to his bedside almost a week before. His health had been failing for the past three years  He will be missed by all who knew him. He was honest and upright in all his dealings with his fellow men. His motto was "Do unto others as he would have others do unto him." He always had a smile and kind word for everyone, an expression of sympathy for those in sorrow, ever, a friend to those in need.  His best friends were those who, knew him best.He was .always happy when doing something to help some one.

Sleep on dear loved one,
Take thy rest;
God giveth and in giving blest.
He is taken
 Can we raise our eyes
 And say, God dealeth just and wise. ,

 "Harry Hower is gone."
What greater can be said of a man when their life has put out to port than to say he was a good Christian, honest man, a true, loving husband, a kind and gentle father and obedient son and a real brother.
These were the sentiments of every friend of Harry, when the sad news reached Olathe that he had left this beautiful old world to go to a place prepared for him in Heaven and his friends were many.

 He was a good counselor, a friend and father to the deaf boys. Many a mother has sought him to give their boy advice and through his influence there are deaf boys of Olathe, who will live to be an honor to his name. Harry was .blessed with a fine manly form and it seems sad to see such a life go put.

 Harry was an instructor In the deaf school for many years and his beautiful character stands out and is a wonderful lesson to many boys who were under his care.

 For the last ten years he has been in business for himself and was respected by all his  fellowmen, so with a bowed head, Olathe grieves for such a man. - A Friend.
