The Life of Benjamin Neal McFarland
DIED
August 28th, 1831, at St. Paris, Ohio, Ben Neal McFarland, only son of Prof. and Mrs. B. S. McFarland
Only a very few weeks ago Mr. and Mrs. McFarland went east on a yisit to their friends and relatives, accompan ied by their interesting little family of three children. Shortly after their arri val in Ohio, the little boy was taken down with incarnation of the bowels, and lingering for some time in great pain, was ufinally compeiled to yield his oyung life to the effects of the dreadful disease.
The family returned last Tuesday with the body of their dear little one and were met at the depot with .a large number of sympathizing friends. Rev. Dr. Williamson conducted the funeral service at the Presbyterian church, on Tuesday afternoon, in the presence of a large audience who turned out to express their sympathy to Prof. and Mrs. McFarland in their hour of great distress.
