The Life of Francis E Henderson

DEATH OF FRANK HENDERSON

Frank E. Henderson died at the residence of his daughter in Kansas City, Kansas and was buried in the Olathe cemetery last Thursday. The funeral services were conducted by the Masonic lodge of this city, he having been a member for many years. Uncle Frank, as he was commonly called, would have been ninety years of age his next birthday. He came to Kansas in territorial days and during the war was county clerk of Johnson county. He served three full terms in that office.

In 1882 he was a candidate for probate judge and was twice elected. He was at one time, perhaps, the best known man in the county, and many of our older citizens will remember him. Mr. Henderson retired from politics many years ago, since which time he has had little to do with public matters, but while he lived he never lost interest in Johnson county people among whom he lived so long.
