ELIZABETH JOHNSON.

Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson, aged 60 years, died Thursday, February 2, after about four weeks suffering from injuries received in a runaway. Her funeral sermon was preached at the A. M. E. church in this city Sunday, February 5. Interment in Olathe cemetery. Mrs. Johnson, accompanied by her grand-danghter, Louise Johnson, was returning to her home from a shopping visit in Olathe about four weeks ago, and when about one and a half miles west of Twin Springs school house the harness broke which caused the team to take fright and run away. Mrs. Johnson was thrown out and sustained injuries which on last Thursday resulted in her death. Mrs. Johnson was well known in Olathe, having been a cook at the Hotel Olathe about five years ago. She was honest and thrifty, and at the time of her death owned about seventy-five acres of fine bottom farm land.
