The Life of Wilbert Granger

OBITUARY.

Wilbert Granger was born June 21,1845, in Westfield, Morrow county, Ohio, and died March 15, 1904. He was the son or Dr. George Granger, a prominent physician and citizen of that county.

Wilbert was a soldier in the Civil war; serving in Company B, Fifth Independent Battalion, O. V. C. and re-enlsting in Company B, Thirteenth O. V. C. and serving until the close of the war.

He participated in all the battles in which his regiment was engaged. In one battle he an injury which resulted in partial deafness and at the battle of Dinwiddie C.H. Va. he received a wound in his left shoulder and he has been a great sufferer from this affliction and injury ever since the war and gradually and steadily it undermined his once rugged constitution and left him the subject of disease.

March 3, 1867, Mr. Granger and Mary A. Olds were married and as a result of this union there was born to them three children, all of whom survive. Mr. Granger was a good man, a patriotic, honorable and upright citizen; a patient, kind, affectionate and indulgent husband and father. Funeral services were held at the residence 528 East Park street, Thursday, March 17, at 2 p. m., Rev. Madison officiating.
