The Life of Minor Thomas Graham

Died, at his residence in east Olathe the last Friday, M. T. Graham, in 83rd year of his age. The funeral took place on Saturday, the ceremonies being conducted by Rev. John McQuoid, and was numerously attended by all his old neighbors and friends.

The deceased came to Olathe many years ago from Westport. Mo., where he was honored by the Republicans, and was elected State Senator to represent JackJackson county in the legislature during the reconstruction period. After the ex-Confederates were given the right to vote the Democracy was again in power by a large majority, and Mr. Graham removed to Olathe where he has resided ever since. He was formerly, before the war, a member of the great Studebaker wagon manufacturing firm at South Bend, Ind., but sold out with a view of improving his condition in the then rapidly developing west. Mr. Graham had lived his allotted time, and died as he had lived, at peace with all mankind.
