The Life of Gladys Marie Jackson

Gladys was born in Stonewall, Oklahoma on October 6, 1926 to Cole and Josie Mack.

She worked in the service of the Lord as a Chaplain for ten years in Sterling, Illinois. She was involved in missionary work in Oakland, California and loved singing in the Billy Graham Crusade Choir every year in Oakland.

Gladys loved reading her bible and praying. Much of her ministry was praying for people. Jesus was the center of her joy.

Gladys loved camping and the outdoors. She planted a garden every year and canned all of her vegetables. She enjoyed feeding the birds and rabbits in her yard and she loved pink roses. She had many pen pals all over the country who she enjoyed writing to.

She raised seven daughters JoAnn, a music director in Fresno, California; Gail, a chaplain in the Olathe, Kansas area; Doris, an accountant in Fresno, California; Sundee, a pastor in Salem, Oregon; Garland, a homemaker in Covington, Georgia; Coleen, in the health care industry in Dublin, California; Carole, a restaurant owner in Cologne, Germany. Gladys has 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

The greatest gift a mother could ever leave her children is Jesus and that she did.
