The Life of Minnie A Haverty

MRS. MINNIE HAVERTY.

Mrs. Minnie Freeman Haverty died Thursday, September 16th at her home, three miles south of Eudora. The funeral service was held at the home Sunday morning at 9 o''clock, and the body brought to Olathe for burial.

Miss Minnie Freeman was born and raised near Lenexa and grew to womanhood in this county. She was united in marriage to Wm. Haverty, Jr., in 1872 and to this union four children were born, two sons, Lester and Cecil and two daughters, Lorena and Nellie.

It was while her children were in school and Mr. Haverty on a short business trip to Lawrence, that she became suddenly ill. She at once attempted to call him over the telephone, but fell dead before getting the call through. She was found about noon by a farm hand, who had come in from work for his dinner and they were unable to tell how long she had lain there. Mrs. Havertv was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Henry.
