John Gordon Havens, 81, of Olathe KS., passed away at home on Sunday, May 13, 2012. He will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, loving Pa and friend to everyone he met. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 16 at the McGilley & Frye funeral home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday May 17th at the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors in Olathe Memorial Cemetery. John was born on April 6, 1931 in Battle Creek, MI., and lived most of his life in Olathe, KS. He was a long time friend of Bill W. for over 28 years. Survivors include his wife Helen, three children, Linda West, John Havens and Julie Heese 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
