Last week by accident the notice of the death of Uncle George Lawrence was left out. Mr. Lawrence for many years was a resident of this city and one of its leading business men and while he has not lived here for many years yet he always felt that Olathe was his home and almost yearly visited old friends and relatives. Only a short time ago he was here and looked as though he had many years of active life before him and his friends were shocked when the news came-that he was dead. He died at the home of his stepson, James Hall, at Waggoner, Ind. Ter., on Friday, April 19. The body was brought to Olathe Saturday and laid to rest in the Olathe cemetery. He was seventy six years old. His nearest relatives are two grandchildren, a son and daughter of William Lawrence, who died in Nevada, Mo., less than a year ago. Mrs. William Bronaugh of this city is a cousin.
