Richard Daniels died at his home on Spruce street Sunday afternoon, July 14, at the ripe old age of 83. Funeral services were held at the family residence Monday, July 15, at 3 o''clock, conducted by Rev. Givler. The remains were  laid to rest in the Olathe cemetery. Uncle Dick, as he was called, was one of the early settlers of Johnson county, having lived here for nearly forty years. His health has been very poor for a number of years and his death was no surprise to his friends. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his loss besides a host of friends.
