Died, at the family residence on south Cherry street, in this city, on Wednesday, August 28th, 1889, Maude E. Daniels, aged 18 years, 7 months and 16 days. Maude was a sufferer for a longtime with that dread disease, consumption. Everything possible was done to prolong her life but the efforts availed but little. Funeral services were held at the residence of the family at 2 o'clock p. m. last Thursday, Rev. R. P. Stephenson conducting the services, after which her remains were deposited in the Olathe cemetery. On Jan. 9th, 1887, Sister Maude was united to the Baptist church of this place, being baptized by Rev. J. P. Ash. Her life has ever conformed to her profession, living so as to adorn the gospel of Christ. For several years she was an officer in the Sabbath School, and rain or shine she was always in her place and so putting to shame many dry-weather Christians. As her life was consistent her death was triumphant. Many are the friends who mourn her loss. Sympathy true and generous is extended to the bereaved family.
