James Hamm, one of the early settler of this neighborhood, died at his home in Kansas City, Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1892, and was buried at Olathe on Friday following.

Died, at Kansas City, Mo., Jan, 13, 1892, Mr. Jas. Hamm, aged 74 years and 7 months. He was buried at Olathe, Friday afternoon last. Mr. H. came to Olathe in 1857 and served as constable ro eigt years, removing Kansas City about twelve years ago. He married Mrs. Rebecca Roberts, a sister of Mrs. Geo. Alger, in Kentucky, in 1853.
